Description

Type:  Commercial Sheet Doors.
Operation:  rope pull or hand chain operated depending on size.
Mounting:  interior face mounted.

  Curtain

Sheet: 26 gauge galvanized steel roll formed in continuous corrugation.  Galvanized and finished with baked epoxy primer and baked polyester topcoat.
Side Stripping: p.v.c. rubber to be attached to curtain edges.
Winload: Door construction designed to satisfy winload of 20 psf (0.96KPA) or 90 mph (145 KPH).
Bottom Bar: Curtain reinforced with a bottom bar consisting of 14 gauge galvanized steel angle with E.P.D.M. astragal.

  Drum Assembly

Drum: to be formed with 26 gauge galvanized steel sheet rolled around and attached to stamped galvanized steel drums to restrict deflection to .03" per foot (2.5mm/m) of door width.
Springs:  oiled tempered, grease packed helical torsion type designed to cycle 12,500 times with an overload factor of 25%.  Springs are mounted on a 1" (25.4mm) black steel pipe of minimum 13 gauge.

  Support Brackets

Support Brackets:  3/16" thick structural steel angles and a 1/4" thick steel diagonal brace welded in a triangular form to support ends of drum assembly.

  Guide Assembly

Guides:  roll formed 16 gauge galvanized steel channels for up to 14' wide doors, 12 gauge galvanized steel channels otherwise.
Guide Depth:  to provide sheet penetration adequate to satisfy specified windloading.

  Weather Seal (optional):

Side Draft Stop:  closed cell ethafoam attached to edge of sheet.
Top Draft Stop:  E.P.D.M. seal attached to top of curtain to seal against header.

  Locking

Hand Chain Lock: bracket mounted on guide angle or wall for chain operated doors.
Curtain Lock:  to be hardened galvanized steel slide bots attached to bottom angle suitable for padlocking.

 Operation

Rope Pull: to be 1/4' polyester rope attached to bottom angle up to 10' x 10' x 10' doors.
Chain Hoist:  cast iron pocket wheel drive with machine link hand chain for over 10' x 10' doors.

Finish

Ungalvanized Surfaces: shop coated with rust reducing black prime paint.
